Alice Cullen Casting for Twilight Movie

Wow, so if Adrien Brody was wishful thinking, this could be like Dorothy and the wizard type dreaming...

but seriously...

wouldn't Natalie Portman be the PERFECT Alice? I know she's a little older, but she doesn't look it, and we never actually know how old Alice was when she was transformed...

I just found your blog and am thouroghly enjoying it! It's nice to find an adult who is not afraid to admit their passion for these books. I suffer from the same affliciton.

Hmm.... I'm not sure how I feel about Natalie Portman as Alice- She's the one character I think I am the most picky about the casting on (other than Edward).

Thanks Amy!

I think you're my first comment, and a nice one, too!

Just curious who you'd like to see as Alice - I've really been racking my brain...

I don't know who should play Alice. Casting her would not be a job I would want. The problem is that when I picture Alice I see Tinkerbell with black hair, minus the wings of course. Finding someone to portray that will be quite a challenge.

I'm going to have to ponder this one a bit more and see if I can come up with any ideas.

Wow, I had so many typo's in my reply... I thought I'd start over.

I'm hoping they pick someone we've never seen before. Now that you mention it (and due to the fact that I just found out Alice is only 4'10") I think she should look like Tinkerbelle, too. I hope they find the perfect little pixie.

The hard thing in saying who we'd like, is that we have to go with whom we've already seen before -

I'm pretty sure Natalie Portman is too old and too famous (Alice is just large enough of a role that too big an actor could be distracting, I think - I'll post more on this theory later)...

Amy, have you been to the Lexicon?

I haven't spent much time at the Lexicon. I've read all the personal correspondence with Stephenie and some of the other stuff. I haven't really ventured onto the message boards to much for a couple of reasons. The first one being that I know myself well enough to know that I would wind up spending way too much time there. The second is that I'm kind of new to this whole obsession and most of those threads have been going for a long time so I feel kind of like I'm jumping in mid conversation- does that make sense?

I did find your blog there though- I clicked on the hyperlink attached to your name on one of your comments. :-)

I think that Rachel Leigh Cook would be perfect too bad they already cast Ashley Green
